Please join Saba Andualem and her Cook Fresh Interns...

...as they show you their multicultural take on Chicken & Rice with Urban Roots grown garden fresh vegetables. They will utilize vegetables grown from their farm for the recipe as well as get into all the different ways they've had this dish in their own homes. Saba is the Cook Fresh program manager who will be leading the class, she loves cooking, and always trying new dishes.

When: Monday, November 22, 2021, 11:45am - 1:00pm

Each webinar is 1.25 hours long and will include a cooking demonstration and cultural information about the ingredients and origins of the recipe.

After each webinar, you will receive recipes and links to useful resources to guide you on your home cooking journey. Zoom link will be sent prior to session.

About Urban Roots Cook Fresh Program

Urban Roots is a youth hiring program on the east side of St Paul where high schoolers are paid to participate in 1 of 3 programs. Market Garden, Cook Fresh, and Conservation. This Cooking up Culture webinar will be hosted by the Cook Fresh program which is a seed to plate model program. Cook Fresh develops cultural and nutritious recipes with chefs across the Twin-Cities. They also focus on food literacy, kitchen safety and sanitation, and offer cooking classes to the greater community.

University employees covered by the UPlan and UPlan covered spouses are eligible for 250 Wellbeing Program Points per webinar attended.
