Jared Walhowe

As Assistant Director, Jared assists in overseeing HFHL’s grant programs and annual research symposia as well as the Annual Conference on Native American Nutrition. Before joining our team, Jared was the Produce Specialist with The Food Group, where he increased access to fresh fruits and vegetables for over 200 local hunger-relief organizations. In his role, Jared oversaw the Fruits of the City program, the Food Group Farm, Produce Rescue at the Minneapolis Farmers Market, and worked with cities, schools, parks, and congregations to develop publicly accessible gardens and orchards.
