Amalia Moreno-Damgaard is a chef entrepreneur, graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, born and raised in Guatemala City, and nine-time award-winning author of Amalia’s Guatemalan Kitchen-Gourmet Cuisine with a Cultural Flair with a prior corporate career. This year she will publish her second book. Through Amalia’s WBENC nationally-certified woman-owned business enterprise, she helps organizations of all sizes bridge the gap and develop a broader understanding and appreciation of Latin cultural nuances using traditional, healthy gourmet cuisine as a platform for consulting and representing brands as a spokeswoman. Amalia’s passion for food, culture, and travel has taken her to cook in kitchens in all 7 continents which contribute to further enriching her culinary experiences and presentations. Amalia was recently recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Women Venture, and the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal with the Woman in Business Champion of the Year Award, the Catalyst Award, and Woman in Business Honoree, respectively.
